It was such a pleasure getting to work with Michael and Lindsey on their couple’s maternity shoot! Michael is a good friend of my husband’s and we had such a blast at their wedding a year and a half ago… so it was a nice excuse to catch up!

Oh and shoutout to Daniel and Samantha for such a thoughtful anniversary gift to the parents-to-be!

McGovern Centennial Gardens

Michael suggested we do the session at McGovern Centennial Gardens because it’s the very spot he proposed two years ago. As we chatted and walked around taking pictures, they recounted the day like it was yesterday…

Lindsey may have known Michael was going to propose at some point, but she didn’t realize what he had up his sleeve that day in June 2017. He brought her to the absolutely gorgeous conservatory in the center of Houston and she was thinking… this is nice and beautiful and all, but something is up! They strolled through the various gardens and eventually up the spiraling pathway to the top of “The Mount.” Overlooking the entire park, Michael asked Lindsey for her hand in marriage with none other than her grandmother’s ring! But that wasn’t the only thing Michael had planned. Both their families were hiding at the park ecstatic and ready to congratulate the two… AND there was a surprise party planned with all their friends at a trendy bar in downtown Houston!

Flash forward two years, and here we are! Michael and Lindsey are expecting a baby girl in August and the parents-to-be are filled with excitement and anticipation. Congratulations you two, I couldn’t be happier for you!
