How They Met

Around five years ago, Sam & John met back in school at Louisiana Tech University. Sam was majoring in architectural design while John was initially studying graphic design. They were introduced through a mutual friend and hit it off immediately! Once John saw what Sam was working on though, he took a quick interest into architectural design and realized that it was actually where he wanted to be as well… he switched majors and found a study partner that will last a lifetime!

Mountaintop Proposal

Last February, Sam and John hopped on a plane heading to Telluride, Colorado. Sam may have known that John was going to propose at some point, but she definitely didn’t think this was the time! John however, had the perfect plan.

The first day of their vacation, they skied the mountain like normal… or so Sam thought. John was actually scouting for the perfect spot to pop the question! On day two, he was ready. As a side note, John’s a little more advanced at skiing than Sam. SO when Sam saw the opportunity to speed past, she did just that! She passed John AND the perfect spot that he had carefully chosen. All day John had carried the ring around the mountain in his ski gear and now he sufficed to holding off one more day.

Day three was finally the day! John made sure to get far enough ahead and pull off at his perfectly selected location overlooking the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. This time Sam noticed and stopped as well. John proposed, Sam said yes, and the rest is history! Talk about an epic engagement!
